How we work
Are you a reseller or a sourcing agent?
A sourcing agent. The factory quotes the product, sells it to you and invoices you directly. We find and check the product, manage samples, branding and production follow-up, and are paid a commission. The commission is disclosed in writing before you commit to anything.
Who are you?
Our founder, who runs a BBQ retail business in Queensland, Australia, and our manufacturing partner, who is based in Yangjiang, China, the hub for metal BBQ tools, and works with the factory side every day.
Who invoices and who handles defects?
The factory invoices you. Payment terms, inspection and what happens if something arrives wrong are set out in writing in your quote before you pay anything.
Do you publish prices?
No. Prices depend on the material, branding, packaging, quantity and the exchange rate on the day, so a published price would be wrong more often than right. Every quote is written for your order and includes an estimated landed cost into Australia.
Minimums, samples and timing
What is the minimum order?
It depends on the product, the branding method and the packaging. Product pages show the factory reference MOQ, and your quote confirms the real minimums for base product, logo and packaging separately. Pooled orders can bring the base minimum down.
Can I get a sample first?
Yes. You approve a physical sample, with your branding where practical, before any production deposit.
How long does production take?
Lead times vary by product and season. Where the factory lists a reference lead time it is shown on the product page, and your quote confirms it.
Can I split a first order across products?
Often, yes, if the products share materials or packaging. Ask in your enquiry and we will check with the factory.
Branding and packaging
How can my brand go on the product?
Common options are laser etching on steel, heat branding on wooden handles, a branded swing tag or header card, a printed sleeve, or a full colour retail box. The packaging page shows each option.
Are the packaging pictures real products?
They are concept mockups with sample brand names, made to help you picture the options. Final branding and packaging are confirmed with a physical sample before production.
Can you develop a new product?
Custom shapes and sizes are possible but are assessed separately, because they usually need tooling and extra samples. We start most retailers on a proven product instead.
Freight and compliance
Do you ship to Australia?
Yes. Every quote includes an estimated landed cost into Australia, with freight, duty and GST assumptions written down and confirmed by a customs broker before you commit.
Who is the importer?
Usually you are, because the factory sells to you directly. That means you can claim GST credits where eligible and you hold the paperwork for your own products.
What about product safety and food-contact rules?
Requirements depend on the product and on Australia's rules. Tell us how you will sell the product and we will ask the factory for the relevant material and test paperwork as part of the quote. You remain responsible for compliance in your market, so check with your own adviser where needed.
Still wondering about something?
Ask it in your enquiry. There is no cost to ask or to get a quote.
