Grill grates, grids and racks
Replacement grates, camping grids, grill plates, and rib, chicken and drumstick racks. Sized to order, so they suit retailers who know their customers' BBQs.
Buying grates and racks for your brand
Grates, grids and racks can work as a replacement line, which is an editorial consideration rather than a sales forecast: they suit customers who want a new grate, a rib rack or a camping grid rather than a whole new BBQ.
This range runs from replacement grates and camping grids to rib, chicken and drumstick racks. Each listing shows the sizes we hold so far; confirm the size you need in your written quote. Other sizes are a custom request and are quoted separately.
What to know before you buy
- Fit is everything for a replacement grate. Measure the BBQs your customers own in millimetres, including the frame, before you choose a size, and say on the label which grills it fits only once you have checked.
- These touch food. FSANZ Standard 3.2.3 binds your food business customers rather than you, but it is the best guide to a food-contact surface: easy to clean, non-absorbent and made of material that will not contaminate food. FSANZ lists copper and galvanised metal in contact with acidic foods as a contamination risk; our advice is to keep those surfaces away from food altogether.
- Grates are flat but bulky, and sea freight is priced largely by volume. Ask how they are packed and how many fit a carton, then run the cartons through the CBM calculator.
Branding and packaging
- Grates are rarely seen on a shelf without packaging, so the pack does the branding: a header card or printed sleeve suits most, a box suits sets.
- A label that names the grill models it fits can tell a shopper more than a logo alone, as long as the fit claim is checked.
- Retail stores will want a barcode on every pack, and major retailers set their own packaging and barcode requirements. Ask your retailer before you print.
Guides and tools

What to check before you order
- Exact dimensions in millimetres, including frame and handle overhang.
- Rod diameter and spacing, which drive both weight and price.
- Finish: stainless, chrome plated or bare steel, and whether it needs to be dishwasher safe.
- Flat packing and carton size, since grids are bulky and freight is charged by volume.
Branding these products
Most grates and racks can carry a laser etched logo, a branded tag or header card, or full retail packaging. Each option has its own minimum, which your quote sets out separately from the product minimum.
