Griddle and flat top accessories

Griddle spatulas, scrapers, smash burger presses, flat top inserts and boxed griddle kits for the flat top cooking crowd.

Buying griddle for your brand

Griddle and flat top accessories are for flat top and griddle cooks: spatulas, scrapers, smash burger presses and complete kits in carry bags.

This range covers single spatulas and kits of various sizes, with plastic (PP) or wooden handles.

What to know before you buy

  • These touch food. FSANZ Standard 3.2.3 binds your food business customers rather than you, but it is the best guide to a food-contact surface: easy to clean, non-absorbent and made of material that will not contaminate food. FSANZ lists copper and galvanised metal in contact with acidic foods as a contamination risk; our advice is to keep those surfaces away from food altogether.
  • Spatula and scraper edges should be straight and finished, not sharp. Check them on the sample and at inspection.
  • Kits have many parts. Agree the exact contents in writing, and check the count in a random sample of packed kits.
  • Wooden and bamboo parts (handles, peels, boards) are wooden articles for biosecurity. The importer is responsible for meeting the import conditions in BICON, the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) import conditions system, so ask the factory early how the wood is treated or processed.

Branding and packaging

  • The carry bag is the billboard on a kit. A printed bag and a branded insert card can be a simpler first step than branding every tool.
  • Single spatulas suit a header card or backer card on a peg hook.
  • Retail stores will want a barcode on every pack, and major retailers set their own packaging and barcode requirements. Ask your retailer before you print.

Guides and tools

What to check before you order

  • Blade thickness and edge: a stiff, bevelled edge scrapes cleanly; thin blades flex on a hot plate.
  • Handle material and how it is riveted, since griddle tools take a lot of leverage.
  • Kit contents and the carry bag or box, which is where your branding usually goes.
  • Logo method: laser etch on the blade, print on the handle or on the packaging.

Branding these products

Most griddle can carry a laser etched logo, a branded tag or header card, or full retail packaging. Each option has its own minimum, which your quote sets out separately from the product minimum.
